My thanks to everyone who contributed a list of their favourite scenes involving a power tool. This week's topic is a bit more general and it'll be interesting to see the variety of characters (and preferably actors and films) listed. If you could go by the Wikipedia definition, that would help to keep everyone on the same track. "An antihero or antiheroine is a main character in a story who lacks conventional heroic qualities and attributes such as idealism, courage and morality." ANTI-HEROES |

Seeing as Harry Callahan is a cop and on the right side of the law he's a hero rather than anti-hero. Han Solo has never been an anti-hero, scoundrel yes but always heroic. |

Quote:
I wouldn't class Han Solo as an anti-hero because, as you say, he is more of a scoundrel and does display idealism, courage and morality. 'Dirty' Harry doesn't have that same idealism or morality. Great list, by the way.

This is a tough list to make trying to define an anti hero is harder than I thought. Fair play Dem straight in no kissing.

Anti-heroes don't kiss. At least not until the final scene.
