I could do a top 20 easily. I've thrown a few in here to avoid it all being crossover with other lists (though there are a few still).

Thanks to all who contributed a list of their favourite found footage films (I'll do mine shortly because with being unwell I completely forgot!).

This week's topic has also been done before, but not for several years, and there may be new films to add to previously contributed lists, or a bit of re-ordering based on ones you have re-appraised.

As with the last time it was done, please try to avoid werewolf films because that's another category, and please only include land animals, not water-based creatures.

FOUND FOOTAGE FILMS
  1. The Blair Witch Project
  2. Trollhunter
  3. Diary of the Dead
  4. Man Bites Dog
  5. [REC]
  6. The Borderlands
  7. [REC]2
  8. Creep
  9. Cloverfield
  10. Cannibal Holocaust

It was tough to leave out My Little Eye and The Bay. Cannibal Holocaust is last on my list because it's a film I admire rather than like, but is deserving a spot on the list even though I would probably choose to watch My Little Eye or The Bay if asked to watch one of those three.

You're right and I've amended my original post so this week's topic is only for land based animals. Fish and other water creatures can be the subject for another week.

Oh, and great list!

KILLER ANIMAL FILMS
  1. The Birds
  2. King Kong
  3. Jurassic Park
  4. Razorback
  5. Black Sheep
  6. Burning Bright
  7. White Dog
  8. Grizzly
  9. Dogs
  10. Slugs

Jurassic Park might be contentious (and I could easily include others in the series), but I don't think it fits in this category any less than other films where people are killed by land-based creatures.
