It's one that often feels overlooked. I think it's great.

  6. Brief Encounter
  7. The General
  8. The Darjeeling Limited
  9. The Taking of Pelham One Two three (1974)
  10. Sullivan's Travels
Close, but no inclusion

  • Murder on the Orient Express (2017)
  • Dr Terror's House of Horrors

My thanks to everyone who contributed a list of their favourite films largely set on trains – it proved to be a more interesting and varied topic than I thought it would be!

The topic for this week is inspired by the story which is currently dominating news bulletins and everyday life and one which has been in a factor in a large number of different types of films.

FILMS ABOUT INFECTION, DISEASE, EPIDEMICS, AND VIRUSES

Sadly.
Hopefully not – there are films which about real life diseases (Philadelphia and Dallas Buyers Club for example) which could be included.

The second topic for this week is devoted to one man, a prolific and hugely influential filmmaker.

SERGIO MARTINO

I've only seen 15 Martino films. And one of them - The Fishmen and their Queen - is utter crap.
