Thanks to everyone who contributed a list of their favourite American Civil War films.

The topic of this week is devoted to a filmmaker whose career spans five decades and has found success in both cult and commercial films.

BRIAN DE PALMA FILMS

Brian De Palma Films.

The Untouchables (1987)
Carlito's Way (1993)*
Body Double (1984)
Mission: Impossible (1996)
Carrie (1976)
Scarface (1983)
Dressed to Kill (1980)
Snake Eyes (1998)
Femme Fatale (2002)

Those are the only nine De Palma films i've seen. I did try and watch Passion a couple of weeks ago but nodded off. Could give it another go tonight. It's fortunate that of the nine i have seen my top five are all excellent and the other four are good also, rather than simply making up numbers. Snake Eyes is criminally underrated. That opening tracking shot is worthy of a top ten place any day of the week.

If you haven't seen Obsession and like Hitchcock's films, particularly Vertigo, you should find a lot to like in that one.

Civil war films. Aside from GBU I've not included Spaghetti westerns as there might be a whole seperate list inlcuding films like A bullet for the president/price of power.

Thanks to everyone who contributed a list of their favourite Brian De Palma films.

The topic this week is children in films and TV shows, not necessarily from the horror genre, but those kids who make you look at children in a different light.

They might make you pleased you don't have kids or glad the kids you do have are unlike those you have seen on screen. You don't need to limit yourself to films as kids from miniseries or TV shows are also eligible for inclusion.
