I hope one day we do films set in the Deep South so i can include films such as The Skeleton Key, Gator Bait and of course Southern Comfort. @MrBarlow - The Skeleton Key isn't set in New Orleans. One scene is actually in the city that's all, the rest is a place called Terrebonne Parish. I know this as i've only just watched it again recently. |

In the film, Terrebonne Parish is in Louisiana and I did say that you could expand from New Orleans to the whole of Louisiana if you didn't have 10 films set in the state's biggest city.

I think The Last Exorcism is set in or around Baton Rouge, with the sequel in New Orleans, so they are both based in Louisiana.

Many thanks for everyone who contributed a list of their favourite films set in New Orleans or Louisiana. Keeping with this theme for another week but moving to another area of the world, one with long and varied contribution to the history of film.
