Personally I feel the same way about Argento's Dracula, but absolutely loathe Giallo - which was basically taken over by the producers mid-filming and re-written and re-shot turning it into the resultant mess that it is. Brody even disowned the film and tried to (unsuccessfully) block his image from being used on posters and DVD covers when it was released.

Interesting to see that you rate it over Mother of Tears k, which whilst far from perfect is one I've always enjoyed.

I can't believe I forgot that and failed to put it in either of my lists. It completely stunned me when I saw the film the first time.

As for this week, I will need to rewatch quite a few Argento movies, particularly Mother of Tears, which I haven't seen in several (or many) years.
keirarts, nosferatu42 and iank like this.

Unless, which is possible but unlikely, he hasn't seen it.

  1. Deep Red (international Version)
  2. Suspiria
  3. Tenebre
  4. Opera
  5. Inferno
  6. The Bird with the Crystal Plumage
  7. Phenomena
  8. Four Flies on Grey Velvet
  9. Cat O' Nine Tails
  10. Trauma
  11. Mother of Tears
  12. The Stendahl Syndrome
  13. Two Evil Eyes
  14. Sleepless
  15. Pelts
  16. Jenifer
  17. Phantom of the Opera
  18. Dracula

The extended version of Deep Red while still really good has a little too much exposition going on which doesn't entirely add to the narrative and I've always enjoyed the shorter version more.

Not seen;

The Tram
The Eyewitness
Five Days in Milan
The Card Player
Do you Like Hitchcock?

It's looking like we have a clear winner already - Giallo.

I'm thinking of taking the Inspector off the stats correlating task.

Might have to give the job to B_E. He's more up to date with technology.
