But, yes - it seems you are correct. This means I am going to have to go back to my notes, and check thru 21 pages of twin column film titles making sure that the release dates I have got are the correct ones!
Or just go to IMDb filter on '1984' in production year under advanced title search and pick your top 10 favourites.

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, NO!

My criteria for the 'top 10's' is that it must be a title I actually own, and I'm not going thru the entire 1984 filter, just to pick all the films I have got!

Not at all. I was wondering how I had missed Labyrinth and Phenomena, so I checked the release dates!

There is also a page on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1984_in_film

Fair enough! However if you have 21 page opus stored in a spreadsheet for instance (and depending on your Excel skills) you could always download the IMDb data into Excel and do a lookup on the titles in order to compare them to what you have on your file.

That gave it away for me, they would have both been featured in my list had they have been from the year in question

Labarynth was 1987. I remember my dad taking me to see it.

According to the IMDb, it was first released in the US on 27 June, 1986.

Two very good and (reasonably) easy categories is obviously the trick!

I'm still working on my martial arts and love story lists!
