Aagh! Forgot about this Ghost topic.

The thread seems to disappear after the first day at the moment. Out of sight, out of mind it must be with myself.

I'll do a ghost post later today.

My thanks to everyone who contributed a list of their favourite Ghost Films and/or films starring the late, great Albert Finney.

This week is a variation on a topic from a couple of years ago on film soundtracks and is a bit more specific, concentrating on a song or piece of music which was written specifically for a film, or re-orchestrated/rewritten for that film. It can't be a piece of music which was recorded some time earlier, released, and then acquired by the director/production team (think Dick Dale's Misirlou for Pulp Fiction).

To further clarify and help with your understanding of a film 'theme', it is usually played over the opening or closing credits, is repeated throughout the film, either has the same name as the film, was specifically written as its theme or is synonymous with that film, like Survivor's Eye of the Tiger for Rocky III.

You may not like or even know the movie very well, but if you like the song or music, then please list it (and the others) here – it would be even better if YouTube videos were on the lists.

I was looking at pages from a couple of years ago to check about today's topic and was quite surprised and a little bit saddened at how much conversation there was about people's posts (and the number of posts) in this thread.

It seems there isn't as much engagement with people's contributions as there was, and fewer contributions with which to engage expression

Another great choice this week Nos. A good few pop into my head straight away it's gonna be fun breaking them down and picking a definite 10.

I have a substantial list already, with songs from James Bond films, Hollywood musicals, 80s action movies, Blaxploitation classics, and instrumental music from Oscar winners.

It is going to be really tough to cut it down to only 10.

I'm in the same boat the more I think the bigger the list is getting and you only just posted the topic so it's only gonna get worse
