My thanks to those who contributed a list of their favourite slacker films. This week's topic is films which began on the small screen and comprise storylines and/or characters which were first introduced in TV series. If you so wish, you could fill your list entirely with Mission: Impossible, Batman and Star Trek films, but that would be really boring! FILMS BASED ON TV SHOWS |

Is that the 1996 Mission: Impossible film, and which Star Trek film?

I just listed them in general so it would not be filled with them and have to decide which ones |

That's cheating! If you only want to include one from each series, choose your favourite.

I was debating about including The Untouchables but decided against it as it's based on a book as is the tv show. Fire Walk with Me was another possibility but i see it as a continuation of Twin Peaks rather than based on it. To me the topic category means rebooted for cinema rather then anything else. |
