Yes, for this week, balloons count because they are part of 'air travel'.

Top 10 Airplane Movies

Con Air (1997)
Battle of Britain (1969)
Sully (2016)
Executive Decision (1996)*
Air Force One (1997)
Red Eye (2005)
Flight of the Phoenix (1965)
Flight of the Intruder (1991)
Non-Stop (2014)
Altitude (2010)

I discounted Die Hard II because it was set in the airport rather than on a plane. I can't remember which of the Airport films i preferred. One is far superior to the others, and finally i just opted for one war film in the skies as it could have been a topic on it's own. Battle of Britain edged it over 633 Squadron, Memphis Belle and The Dam Busters.

I see you've twisted the title criteria so you could put a Jess Franco film at the top of your list that must focus on aircraft for all of thirty seconds.

I see you too have gone with Altitude, Nos.

I was surprised how good a film it was.

It's been a long time since I've seen Altitude, but remember enjoying it a lot. If I'd seen it recently, it probably would have placed a bit higher on my list.

My thanks to everyone who contributed a list of their favourite films about air travel, aeroplanes and/or pilots.

The topic for this week is similar in nature as it involves a different kind of transportation. As with last week, the film should take place entirely or for the most part on or around the train or trains.

FILMS SET ON TRAINS
