^ Last Christmas was very sad for me due to the passing of my mum. I love Christmas but of course the 'tinsel' went out of the season and apart from going to church and going to my brothers on Christmas Day, the festive season was lost. This year, I am in the middle of moving. Lots of stuff boxed up, uncertainty of where I am going and other worries have put paid to this year as well.
No decorations or tree again this year. Maybe next year I will be more settled.

Personally i don't do anything remotely Christmassy until actual xmas, call me a Grinch, but i think that doing it early makes the day less special.
I'm not religious and it's all a load of bollocks anyway. hah Bumhug!!!

A bit of a change to what I was going to watch first.

Krampus. 2015

A family having a dysfunctional time, Max turns his back on Christmas and accidentally summons Krampus, a ancient demon who comes for non-believers at christmas time.

What I like about this film is the start with all the mad shoppers in one store, fighting over anything and everything..welcome to Black Friday in stores and a fight at a nativity play, even though it is a stressful time for all those involved, adults and children. Even though it's based on the German legend Krampen who is supposed to whip children into behaving, instead decides a alternate form of punishment is required,by trapping them in a ornament. The acting is done decently and even though it is a horror there is limited blood and gore it seems to be left to the viewers on what has happened once they are taking by the evil toys.

I wasn't at all impressed by Krampus first time around. I was expecting it to be superb seeing as it's a Michael (Trick r' Treat) Dougherty film.

I'll give it a rewatch this week i think.

I wasn't daft on it but after a second viewing I enjoyed it and Angela seems to love it as she can watch it over and over again.

A Christmas Carol. 2009.

A animated version of the old miser who is visited by his deceased old business partner to change his ways and will be visited by three ghosts, Past, Present and Future, and hopefully make him a better person.

Robert Zemeckis stays very close to the source novel even though some versions show the hearse marching down the street or going through Scrooge's house this one didn't. Jim Carrey provides the voice of Scrooge and other characters as do some of the other actors provide their voices. This is a bit darker even at the sight of Marley's jaw dropping spectre is scary but funny as he tries to sort it. There is a nice score by Alan Sivestri that makes it even more Christmasy.

Santa Clause

Tim Allen is the Divorced Dad who accidentally knocks Santa off his roof and after putting on Santa's Coat, he reluctantly has to become Santa. When he starts to look like Santa, everybody (including Psychologist Judge Reinhold) believe he's crazy. A fun start to a Disney franchise.

Bad Moms Christmas

The Bad Moms are back this time having their mothers (A domineering Christine Baranski, a smothering Cheryl Hines and degenerate gambler Susan Sarandon) come around. A fun Christmas themed sequel.
