BBC - Culture - The 21st Century’s 100 greatest films
These are always a interesting read.
Its compiled by film critics, wonder how different it would be if compiled by the general public / cinema goers etc.
But it will also get people talking and debating.
On the page is 100 best american films, and says only 6 from year 2000 made it onto the list.
Admittedly some ive never seen or even heard of, but gives me incentive to look out for them.
I hated mad max road fury to me that's prime eg of whats wrong with films of today.
Personally I'd have put films like war horse on list way before likes of WALL-E

A few (hundred?) people uploaded this list to Letterboxd earlier and I was able to check out how many I'd seen using their standard watched feature - 45% apparently, which is probably not enough and brands me a heathen to the list compilers at the BBC!

Critics be damned, there were a few questionable entries on the list (at least for me) - A. I., Inception, Inglourious Basterds... although not entirely surprising I suppose.

I was wondering whether there is any interest from the community in doing a Cult Labs community list detailing our favourite filmes of the 21st Century (thus far)?

I could tally the votes and chuck a list together if enough people are interested.
