Wasn’t sure where to put this but it’s about blu ray, and the Debate about why physical media better than streaming services like Netflix. But likes of us already know that . https://uk.pcmag.com/old-video-strea...6qwr3GybA7iVNo |

Streaming will be physical media's undoing, that's without doubt. I love collecting DVD's and Blu's, but it won't matter how much articles like this praise physical media, it only underlines that the physical formats clock is ticking to extinction. |

They release some of the best Japanese films in great editions. I have about 95% of their releases. Their versions are very often the best English language friendly available. For fans of Japanese films, if they went under or stopped releasing discs it would be a massive blow. But the point is the BBFC's prohibitive costs. There are many other small labels this would affect.

I have around 35 discs from Third Window, but they are a niche, most of their releases are selling less than 1000 units so you can understand why certification costs would be a factor against releasing longer films which is difficult when you specialise in Japanese films because you'd be hard pushed to find a modern Japanese film less than 120 minutes to be honest.
