This is why we HAVE to support HMV and FOPP.
During that lockdown shite,TESCO,ASDA,SAINSBURYS,POUNDLAND.....the same shit week after week after week.
It was fine if you were a dvd only guy,but Blu Ray stock/choice was dire.

It’s bad enough that we NEED to order Eureka and Indicator titles from the net as HMV no longer have them,we don’t want every boutique label having to be ordered from the matrix.
I mean let’s face it,on the whole the www ain’t as cheap as it used to be.

Another thing.
The buzz when you go instore on release day and bag a ltd ed or new release you’ve been waiting on for years.....?

Unbeatable. You don’t get that by clicking a ****ing mouse......

Playing Devil's advocate...

...The FOPP in Nottingham would almost certainly have gone anyway - its closing had nothing to do with Covid and lockdown. The area in which it was situated was undergoing extensive re-development so all the shops / facilities in that particular 'shopping area' would have had to temporarily(?) close down at some point or other while building work was carried out

Would FOPP have been resurrected after the work was completed? Who knows! It's impossible to say , but every time I was in there (2013 - 2020)...it was very busy
