I'm glad I've held off buying the 4K release.

I thought T2 is a film that would benefit from this format because it has sequences that, if handled correctly, are spectacular and would really benefit from a 4K picture with HDR (and Dolby Vision), and an object-based 3D soundtrack.

If it's that bad, I hope there's a new 4K or 8K remaster for the latest definitive release.

The second release of it, if you can get the earlier version it's much better. The newer version is scrubbed so much that Arnie looks like a melting wax figure!

EDIT: 'the ultimate edition' is the one to avoid.

Which cover does the early version have?

Might as well get you to do the work. What's the use of a forum otherwise?

Really enjoyed watching John Carpenter's The Thing on 4K UHD format. It's quite a noticeable step-up over the very good Arrow blu-ray. Today was the last day off work for my wife and I (we've been having holiday from work) and it was a great way to spend it. btw I replaced the old accompanying 1080p Universal blu-ray disc with the Arrow version so I kinda made my own special edition.

Another classic well worth the upgrade is THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION.

A much-noticable improvement.
Warner have done a great job on this one.

Check the HMV online store, i'm sure they have the Daniel Craig boxset on offer, as The Godfather....lets hope, just like we been hoping for the full version of The Devils...imagine that on 4k UHD...major chubby.
