Apparently Morris strongly hinted that there is more to come in 2019, using a phrase like 'lighting the blue touch paper' hoping for DW, but if not, some other cult items... one interesting anecdote that was related was that The Abominable Snowmen was reportedly shown illegally at a Nigerian cinema... the Morecambe and Wise return was found in a Nigerian cinema! |

He also said "BIG surprises" next year., and that reveals are being spaced out on purpose to allow for maximum publicity for each set of finds. The BFI's Dick Fiddy and Paul Vanezis were there, and according to those that there were there they all seemed very cheerful and chummy. It does look like we're finally getting to the end game, so fingers crossed for some happy news for Who fans next year! I wouldn't say no to some missing Callan either... Phil Morris > ? |

'Holy Grail' of David Bowie footage is found: first Ziggy Stardust TV performance unearthed | The Telegraph "David Bowie’s Top of the Pops appearance as Ziggy Stardust in July 1972 is regarded as a seminal moment in music history. But few people remember that Bowie actually made his television debut as Ziggy a month earlier, singing Starman on an ITV teatime show called Lift Off with Ayshea. The performance was believed lost to history when the tapes were accidentally wiped. Almost half a century on, a recording of that first appearance has been unearthed. A member of the public came forward to say they had captured the show on computer tape, a forerunner of VHS. It is now being restored with the aim of showing it in a forthcoming BBC documentary, David Bowie: Finding Fame."

Worzel Gummidge: Unseen animated episode unearthed | BBC News "An unseen animated episode of popular TV show Worzel Gummidge has been unearthed. The original ITV show ran for four series from 1979, featuring Doctor Who star Jon Pertwee as talking scarecrow Worzel and Una Stubbs as Aunt Sally. It was filmed in Hampshire. A BBC producer found an unbroadcast animated pilot episode that was due to run in the mid-1990s. The animation never made it to TV screens after Pertwee died in May 1996. Producers had been in talks to broadcast the spin-off show on Sky."
