Black Panther for best film? It wasn't that great, I was quite underwhelmed with it. Infinity War bloomin' well kicked it's arse. I guess that it's nominated just because it's unusual for a Hollywood film to use mostly non-Caucasian participants?

I haven't seen a single one of the films listed and Black Panther and the Mercury biopic aside have no intention of seeing them.

Haven't seen any myself , and any marvel , DC , or that style of film isn't my taste and even if the films where good IMO I still wouldn't nominate them for best film because all they are to me is leave your brain at home ( if you went cinema ) and just enjoy it for what it is . there not films with heart soul and passion and depth into them . some I've tried to watch and other just the trailers alone don't sell the films to me .
Sometimes even if I have seen some of the films nominated I think to myself off all the films released last year surely there is better out there than ????? So and so film .

Would like to see Olivia Coleman get a gong as she can act the arse off most of those Hollywood mannequins .... IMHO.

Apart from that ... Spike Lee's film is very funny, well I thought so anyhow.
Isle Of Dogs made me go "awww" every 5 minutes. Soppy Demon!!

They're the only 2 I've seen, I am hoping to catch the Spike Lee film and the Japanese film for best foreign film, Shoplifters.

I have literally given up on the oscars, Infinity War for best film if you're going to nominate Black Panther & BlackKlansman ("we're not racist, honest!"), just like they nominated Get Out after being accused of "whitewashing". Just vote for the best films. Black Panther was amazing, butInfinity War was an epic of LOTR proportions!

Needless to say, BP is the only one I've seen! Sticking to my old faves I'm afraid! I must be completely out of touch with the modern film world!
