Default Cult Film Documentaries?

Hi guys,

At the weekend, I popped on two awesome documentaries about cult films. First up was Never Sleep Again - a look at all of the Elm Street movies with interviews from almost all of the cast/directors (too good for it, are you Johnny?!)

Then, I watched the excellent Not Quite Hollywood which looked at Ozploitation flicks. Great to see Stunt Rock getting so much attention in that doc - one of my personal faves.

So, here's a thread to discuss and recommend the best documentaries about films. Anyone got any other suggestions?

I’ve actually recently bought Electric Boogaloo and Machete Maidens double bill from Umbrella. If I remember it’s female led action films from Australia!

So I just watched Machete Maidens and it was really interesting and was actually more about Roger Corman making films in The Philippines than the synopsis makes out. Three distinct eras where Roger hired first Eddie Romero then Cirio Santiago and finally Bobby Suarez. Good segments on Pam Grier and Fernando Marcos.

Loads of Boobs, loads of naked bums, loads of guns, Kung Fu! Also gun toting topless Kung fu performing women!

By the same film making team as Not Quite Hollywood and Electric Boogaloo. So if you’ve seen either (or both) of them then you’ll know what to expect.
