The first is one we've all spoken about, so I'll be brief. From the offest, this is a wildly different beast to the first film. Certainly at his most fraught, the good Baron seems intent on keeping his head above water by any means necessary ahem. Freddie Jones pops up to hog some screen time (deservedly) later on.

This would be the first time that I've seen TMS.
I had a lot of fun just basking in this one. The sets! Delgado! Michael Ripper! Loved the titular fiend also despite him nor getting quite enough screen time.
The basic curse formula applies here, and John Phillips excels at embodying entitlement in his attempts to evade this. Ahem.

Staggered. 1994.

Days before his wedding, Neil is on a stag night in London, his best man has his drugged and whisked away. Neil wakes up in Scotland penniless and tries to get back for his wedding.

Every soon to be groom's nightmare of waking up, not knowing where you are or how you got there, Martin Clunes directs and stars in this mad cap comedy caper. Griff Rhys Jones plays the good Samaritan who turns out to be something else...why say to two swingers you are a toy demonstrator, clearly there is blurred lines there. This does have a good few laughs and a lot of adult humour.

Dangerous Davies: The Last Detective (1981, Val Guest)

Dug this out in tribute to the Cribbins.
BC plays the titular copper, with a Dulux dog and Selwyn Froggit as back up
Slightly grittier than the tv series that featured a Doctor, and what with his replacement turning up later in a small role, this goes into me DW trivia quiz book
Ahem. Tasked with something to "keep him busy", he instead focuses on an older aspect of the case. Raking over cold memories best left behind? Check! Warned off violently? Check!!
A cavalcade of stalwarts turn up in various guises (Lippman!!), which does level out the basic tone which is more grounded than The Boys In Blue ahem.
Recommended.

Piggy (2012, Kieron Hawkes)

This being the third time I've watched this now. Yes, it's a clone.
Amiable loser Compston finds aide in his time of need in this rather grounded take on the vigilante genre.
Neil Maskell turns up doing nicely in a bittersweet wee turn.
Grim as only we can do.

Say Your Prayers (2020, Harry Mitchell)

A pair of brothers are set on a path by a guardian who doesn't have their best interests at heart.
This was an interesting take on a wildly divisive subject, and the cast helped a lot, especially Anna Maxwell Martin (for once out of crinoline ahem).
