Have previous editions been tampered with? I know Spielberg regrets what he did to ET. In fact, he's even said "there's going to be no more digital enhancements or digital additions to anything based on any film I direct."

God, I really hope they're not going to still go with that awful Indiana Jones And The Raiders Of The Lost Ark title on the cover!

This is the best I think its ever looked, because in preparation for the eventual release on blu-ray we had to correct the print again and get the original negative out of the salt mines, and then we had to do the separations, and basically the files, which are just amazing, with all the technology of today, without changing any of the movie materially, we havent removed anything, we havent added CGI, theres no digital enhancements! Its purely the movie you some of you may remember from 1981. The big question for me is will Paramount bother to resubmit Temple of Doom and, if so, while I can see the rest of the cuts getting through, will the heart-ripping make it unscathed to a PG... The US set is up at Amazon for $75 so plus shipping and customs... The DVD's were uncut in all other European Territories but I'd really much prefer this particular set with English text. |

At a screening, Spielberg announced the ET blu ray as the original version, asked the crowd if they wanted the new one as an extra and the crowd screamed "NO!!" |

That told him. He's lucky he left there without having had a walkie-talkie shoved up his arse.
