Just thought you'd all like to know that the Basket Case Trilogy Steelbook is up for pre-order now at about £28 in general. Cheapest I could find it is with Tesco Entertainment as they have a 15% off code for preorders of £25plus. Makes it a nice little £24.11 in total, still a little more than I expected it to be, I know it's 3 films and all but .... Basket Case: The Trilogy - Limited Steelbook Edition - Blu-ray - Tesco Entertainment - Free Delivery

Hmmm... I'm on the fence about Basket Case. Never seen 2 & 3 and haven't seen the first since the day a mate and I rented that and Evil Dead in the early 80's and it kind of paled in comparison. I'd probably have to watch it again before I spent £25 on it.

£25 is more than I expected the Basket Case Steelbook would be priced but, even though I have the US BD, it's still something I'm likely to buy for the artwork and sequels.

Oh and I almost forgot, topcashback.co.uk offer 8.08% so that technically takes the price down £22.16. Will have to keep an eye on this one as I'm sure the price will drop more before release

I think it could be a mis-listing, as Amazon have two DVD trilogies up for pre-order; one priced at £31.49 and the other at £22.49.

Yeah same here. I only saw Basket Case for the first time last week and wasn't overly impressed. Plus I read Hennenlotter only did the other two for the money, so don't hold out much hope on them being any better . . .

I actually think that Basket Case 2 & 3 are miles more fun than Basket Case 1. I love the two sequels. I've got Part 1 one on VHS, and 2 & 3 on the DVD release with both films on one disc. I really hate double dipping, but I think I will cos' I love these films. I'm not blown away by the extra's, to be honest. I hope nearer the release more extra's will be announced. The secondsight TCM and ROTLD releases were pretty perfect, so if it comes with even less than half the goodies than those I will probably get it. |
