I was in HMV yesterday and it's really pretty shocking how mediocore a lot of bluray covers are when the company have deviated from the classic artwork. "Let's just put a close-up of the main actors face, that'll do"

Yeah, they create new art to try and appeal to a wider audience but they don't seem to realize that a lot of people prefer to have the original artwork. There's a Japanese poster on the blog that would have been a hundred times better than those 2 covers.

Couldn't agree more. For a product that boasts the ultimate in quality, the covers are bland as shit.

Original artwork, on the other hand, stands out a mile.

So glad Q&TP turned out good!

Regan (Blu-ray): Network DVD

Even better, they're currently working on the entire Sweeney tv series for a Blu-ray release! :woot:

I also saw this on Network's website this evening -

Robin of Sherwood: Jason Connery: Network DVD

It will be interesting to see if this is as dark and as weird as I remember it being as a (very young) lad. :)

I watched loads of "Robin of Sherwood" on TV last year when I was off work with kidney stones. Some of it is pretty strange, very pagan(in a Wicca, new age way) and felt like the last gasp of all the wyrd kids shows from the 70s, "Children of the Stones", "The Owl Service" etc.

The Owl Service is an extremely bizarre series and well worth watching. I really can't see kids tv making anything like it these days!

Network are releasing Children Of The Stones in October.
