Predator to get 3D conversion bluray release with limited Predator head packaging

urgh urgh urgh urgh urgh. I hope they use the Ultimate Hunter Transfer so the picture's both waxy AND extra dark due to the 3D.

I saw a review of this and the guy said it had less grain than the previous blu-rays. Now I'm scared!

Haha, now that I gotta see!!!

I passed on Jurassic Park 3D in cinemas, as I had already seen the Universal 2K, which was already disappointing, and looking at reviews, they really ****ed up the transfer for that.

I suspect a level of equal grain would ruin the 3D - if the grain was in the foreground and background equally it would look wrong from a 3D perspective

He was saying there was less than the DNR abomination blu-ray too. Don't know how that's even possible.

That's insane. That bluray was an absolute mess. I do worry that the bluray market is cannibalising itself at the minute with all these steelbook re-releases, 3D conversions etc? Has anyone in the history of cinema-going watched Predator and thought "well, that was ace but I'd have enjoyed it more if it had the forced illusion of stereoscopy"?

My friend and I watch VHS films converted to 3D with his tv for shits and gigs, and the static is so far out, it almost enhances the depth!

But I imagine you wouldn't want that with a 3D Blu ray.
