Can't wait for the 4k release of Santa clause vs the martians

Jokes aside modern technology has progressed things far enough for my eyes. I'm still amazed at seeing manos hands of fate on blu-ray!

And the thing is with all these formats, the discs are only as good as the effort the studios put in. For instance I've seen dvds that aren't much better than a decent vhs and blus that aren't much better than dvd.

I'm perfectly happy with blu ray and dvd ( when blu ray isn't an option ) so I won't be upgrading to 4k.

The only way I I'm going to upgrade is when my existing plasma screen gives up the ghost and 4K/Ultra HD looks like a cost effective way forward. That said, I don't think I'll replace my PlayStation, DVD player and Region A Blu-ray player with an expensive player which plays very expensive (and so far poorly available) discs.

I only started on Blu's in 2014. I'm not bankrupting myself like that again for at least another 20 years!
