Australia is Region B, same as us, so we can import these and watch them.

good point

Still seems weird so much of the uk hammer releases seem to be sticking to dvd only.

Hopefully if quatermass and the pit blu from optimum is a success that'll change rapidly.

It seems Cannibal Holocaust will be getting a French Blu-ray release on the 18th of October:

For those of you who complained about the Shameless BD cover; I bet you're biting your tongues now.

Too right! That one looks like it was designed in about 10 minutes Photoshop.

So what do we all think of the artwork for the upcoming MGM blu-ray of Straw Dogs? I kinda dig it. Wish they had used the original artwork of Hoffman with the shattered glasses though.

Yeah, I dig it; it could have been worse. Personally I quite like this DVD cover.

I wonder if it is going to be a digibook?

Yeah it's the usual photo-shopped crap MGM was responsible for ushering in. I have Criterion DVD and am happy with that.

Btw I'm currently in LA and there ate a lot of posters dotted around for the upcoming remake. I know there'll be naysayers decrying its existence but the director, Rod Lurie, has made a couple of good films so I'm quite curious.

Paul, there's plenty of restaurants if you look hard enough..

I wasn't impressed with the general casting for the remake but I'll wait and see.
