I have all their Lone Wolf and Cub individual releases. I personally feel the demand for a set of the originals would be greater than this. I wonder if this set means they'll only have the English dubs. As far as I'm aware the other four are the same as the LW&C versions, just in English.

Eraserhead (Ger):

You can't have too many David Lynch films in HD. All we need now is (I think) Lost Highway and Dune to make it to BD, plus a re-release of Twin Peaks Fire Walk with Me in the UK.

Lost Highway has been released in France and Germany but is getting a UK release alongside Eraserhead this year. Dune got a US and German release too. I had the Dune HD DVD and it wasn't overly impressive.

That'll teach me to research properly before I post! I'll try and hold off importing from the continent until Eraserhead and Lost Highway are released here, but will look into the Dune BD.

The Wicker Tree appears to be getting a US BD release in April courtesy of Anchor Bay / Starz.

Let's hope this release pushes someone into release the original Wicker Man on BD!

I'm quite intrigued by The Wicked Tree, even though I'll watch it with low expectations.

As you say, perhaps the best thing that can come from this is a high quality DVD of The Wicker Man.

It will be great to have the Wizard of Gore on BD to go with the 'Blood Trilogy' and, as I haven't seen The Gore Gore Girls, that makes the disc almost an essential purchase.

Now, where's the Pre-order button?

Another region-coded BD that half us won't be able to watch. Great. Just what we need. Oh well, we Brits get our own back by getting lovely Region B coded Hammer films on BD this year.
