I know. Someone over here needs to cut a deal with Sony too. They just licensed 250 films to Mill Creek so surely they must be prepared to license in other territories too.

I want Mysterious Island and Journey To The Centre Of The Earth as well, although Journey is a Fox title.

I asked in the Eureka thread at blu-ray.com when The Big Heat was revealed and I didn't get a no so I'll take that as a positive. It would certainly fit in with some of their recent releases and I'm sure they wouldn't scoff at another Lang film for MOC.

Lots of goodies to come but I personally can't wait for The Blood Beast Terror on bd (just hope it's region free)...

And eagerly anticipating this getting released over here (seems it's already out in the US) in August or should I just get the US bd (probably region free)...

David Cronenberg's "eXistenZ" will be released as a triple feature in the US on May 01, 2012:

eXistenZ / Malevolent / B. Monkey Blu-ray

Comments in the Blu-ray.com forum unfortunately confirm that it doesn't have HD audio, only a DD2.0 track:

Quote:
It's OAR, but the picture quality is mediocre. It looks better than the DVD, but not by much.

The eXistenZ transfer isn't going to wow anyone, but I certainly found it to be better than the existing DVD. The audio on the other hand is pretty lackluster (192 Kbps 2 Channel DD).

I really don't understand why Miramax have been farming their titles out to Echo Bridge, who haven't really been treating these films with the respect their deserve, often only giving them 1080i makeovers. Miramax/Dimension have some real gems in their library and it's a shame they're being handled by a company that doesn't seem to care about them one iota. They're just banging them out quickly and cheaply to reap maximum profits - and the films suffer as a result.

I agree. At least the US Lionsgate releases have fared better. Most of the LG and Studiocanal titles released in the UK have been okay too.
