Oh yes. Would also love to see She Killed in Ecstasy and Jack the Ripper in HD. Great films with beautiful cinematography which would fit this format perfectly.

Female vampire is hard going to say the least.

(perhaps a poorly chosen use of words there )

Bloody Moon, Faceless, Venus in Furs, and Mansion of Madness* for me.

*That's right: I said Mansion of Madness

Sadly I've never seen any redemption releases besides Grapes of Death (call myself a horror fan!?). I've always liked the sound of The Bloody Judge and Succubus though. Not read much about the others.

What are the ones you'd recommend buying out of those released so far (or upcoming) on blu ray to get myself into these films? From what I've read, most of redemption's films are atmospheric with great cinematography and plenty of nudity and gore, although I guess it varies a lot from film to film, director to director?

jean rollin and jess franco are 'aquired tastes' to say the least. Bare in mind Grapes is probably his most accessible film. Franco turned out movies like a one-man factory often making several a year. As a result some of his stuff is dreadful. Bloody judge is worth a look though. Female vampire is a difficult watch though.

Overall redemption have always had a decent track record with their releases and so-far all the redemption blus i've bought (all of them!) have been excellent picture quality. Personally though i'd look at trying to see requiem for a vampire or lips of blood first. If you dont like them then best to avoid rollins work.

Also has anyone else seen this.

I have mixed feelings about it but its on my wishlist out of pure curiosity.

Ultimate Shockfest SD Blu-ray + Limited Edition Poster Horror Express / Alien Contamination / Night Of The Living Dead / Deep Red / Oasis Zombies / Messiah Evil / Satanic Rites Dracula / Dementia 13 / City ... 2011: Amazon.co.uk: Christopher Lee, Pet

it says it SD blu-ray so i'm in no hurry, though some of the titles do look interesting. Pieces on blu-ray and messiah of evil on blu-ray are both tempting. Other titles look like the public domain heavily edited releases. (tenebrae is for sure)

As we talked about Jess Franco, did you actually mean Mansion of the Living Dead? I like that one too. The bizarre atmosphere at the hotel is awesome. A very playful yet weird movie.

You must be a fan of Lina Romay's downstairs carpeting – it's almost like she's wearing a black bikini bottom!
