Not sure if this has been mentioned yet but Wake In Fright is getting a US Blu release in a couple of months. Thought it was good news as the Aus release can be pretty pricey

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B009YX...sr=8-1&pi=SL75

The Blu is actually cheaper than the DVD to preorder too on Amazon.com

Wake in Fright [Blu-ray]:Amazon:

If you get it from Drafthouse Films website, you get a free 720p digital download, and i think a soundtrack.

Edit: Actually got this on order, because the case looks so much nicer without an ugly Australian rating, and i have a feeling the extras will be somewhat better.

It's even cheaper on Importcds - about $20 after shipping. Only thing is, you can't actually preorder it yet but it should be available soon.

I presume this is region 1/A only,
right?

Well, on the Miami Connection site, the region coding is listed as 1/A, so I guess so.

You could also use this to take advantage of the Army Of Darkness Necronomicon if you're an Evil Dead fan, the Grindhouse blu ray with HD Audio (I believe the US and UK just have Dobly 5.1), for some of the Australian Digibooks, like Minority Report, West Side Story, Magnificent Seven, Fight Club, Moulin Rouge, The Good The Bad and The Ugly, or the new ET digibook. Or if you're a Hellraiser fan, 1-3 Blu ray steelbook.

That was a bit much.

Edit: They have a 20% off sale at the moment!

Edit 2: And it would appear that Wake In Fright is only avalible as a DVD on their website now.
