Naked Lunch and Shivers are great too - definitely recommended.

I think it's a crying shame that there isn't an anamorphic version of eXistenZ available in the UK.

Hmm. No one's posted Blue Underground's announcements from yesterday? Ok, then...

New Blue Underground dates: Argento Blu-rays and more

Blue Underground has been busy giving its catalog of classic fright features their Blu-ray debuts and new DVD special editions, often with fresh supplemental features, and the trend continues into 2011. We just got dates for some exciting titles planned for next spring/summer!

Joining the previously announced DAUGHTERS OF DARKNESS Blu-ray, arriving February 22, on the BU slate are, firstly, a pair of Dario Argento films. Look for the Blu debut and a new special-edition DVD of INFERNO on March 29, with DEEP RED (pictured) receiving the same treatment April 26. May 31 sees the first North American DVD release of THE NESTING, Armand Weston’s 1981 chiller about a writer who moves into a remote house to work on a new book, and discovers that it’s a former brothel haunted by the ghosts of its prostitutes. Set for summer/fall, undated at this point, are the first Blu-ray of Argento’s THE CAT O’NINE TAILS, followed by Blu-rays and new DVD editions of Lucio Fulci’s ZOMBIE and THE HOUSE BY THE CEMETERY. We’ll bring you more details as we get ’em; check out an extensive video chat with Lustig from The CineFiles and AVManiacs.com about his upcoming titles below.

Also, this today: http://www.fangoria.com/index.php?op...ews&Itemid=167

We just reported yesterday about the cool lineup of discs on the way from Blue Underground next year, and now the company has revealed the cover art and specs for its Blu-ray premiere and new special-edition DVD of Dario Argento’s INFERNO, coming March 29.

The second in Argento’s Three Mothers trilogy, in which a young woman (Irene Miracle) discovers a secret diary that unleashes the evil of the unholy trinity upon the world, INFERNO will be presented on the discs in new high-definition 1.85:1 transfers from the original uncut negative. Both versions will feature Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround EX and Dolby Surround 2.0 audio tracks, with DTS-ES 6.1 sound also available on the DVD and a DTS-HD 7.1 track on the Blu-ray. Extras include the interview with Argento and assistant director Lamberto Bava, Argento introduction and trailer from the previous DVD, plus two new interview featurettes:

• “Reflections of Rose” with actress Miracle

• “Art & Alchemy” with actor Leigh McCloskey

Retail price is $19.98 for the DVD, $29.98 for the Blu-ray.

I have a feeling my BD double-dipping will be starting soon... well it already did with Dawn and Day of the Dead.

BU kick ass, no doubt about it! But I find their releases a little less attractive compared to the packages from AV. But I'm not complaining, Zombie will be bought!!

I've also heard that Blue Underground will be releasing two of Larry Cohen's films on Blu next year too: God Told Me To and Q: The Winged Serpent.

Will definitely be picking these two up.

I noticed some time ago that Man Bites Dog is out on blu here...
French language/Dutch subs only though.
Seems it's a Belgian release (Dutch and French language cover variants)?
The French cover variant is also for sale in France I think.
