Nice. Original poster art on the reverse?

Default Upcoming Non-UK Blu-ray Releases

Noticed a couple of upcoming re-releases from XT Video. The New York Ripper and City Of The Living Dead. It says the packaging will be HD Kultboxes. Anyone have any idea what these are?

Slated for an Autumn release - probably to coincide with Halloween.
I really like Stagefright, so that will be a definite upgrade.

Me too - it's one of my favourite slasher films.

Isn't it getting a release her in the UK as well or am I thinking of something else? Ah well, Blu Underground have me fro a second PO then, as I hope to buy Zombie Creeping Flesh and Rats soon as well.

I have the following on PO as well, sadly funds are low atm so I can only buy a handful of things a month for a while.

Dolls (BD)
Tourist Trap (BD)
Wake in Fright (BD)
Phantom of the Paradise (BD none-Steelbook)
Blind Womans Curse (BD)
The Killers (BD)
Dead of Night (BD)

It was hinted at, but as yet nothing has been confirmed in as much as a release date or specs.

I'm happy with a BU release, as long as Arrow don't release it a few months later in a swanky steelbook or anything!

I've rather gone off steelbooks. They dent and scratch easily, so unless they have outstanding artwork on them (Lifeforce et al) i'll save a bit of money and go for the regular editions. Saying that I got The Wicker Man BD steelbook on Zavvi for a tenner the other day, half the price of the normal edition!

I'm the same. Steelbook collecting used to be fun. Somethig special that was for collectors. Zavvi have ruined it tbh. Seems eveything gets a steelbooks now. You know it's been ruined when something like Captain Phillips gets a steelbook! I just buy them now If I really like the artwork. I only have one on preorder, and that's the 25th!! Anniversary steelbook of Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure.

I do like my steels, but am pretty choosy when it comes to the artwork too. There are a couple of Arrow steels that I haven't picked up due to not liking the artwork. Plus out of all the steelbooks I've received, I've only ever received two damaged and they were from Canada.

Be warned as it's half the package; it doesn't contain the 2nd disc (which has the Director's and Theatrical cuts of the film or the CD soundtrack, both of which come with the non-steelbook edition). I was lucky, as when I pre-ordered the steel, Zavvi had the wrong specs listed meaning that I got the 2nd disc sent out to me for free from Studio Canal.

I'm exactly the same as they used to be exclusive/limited edition releases and now the market is flooded. Imagine if Zavvi started releasing about 75% of new films, and loads of old films, in hardboxes. They would also lose their appeal after a couple of months.
