It depends what your agenda is regarding steels though. If you're buying to retain value or to resell, then it's pretty pointless. Either they will become worthless due to an over-saturated market and/or because a new format will come along and replace them (DVD steelbooks are worth pretty much nothing nowadays).

I've always bought steels because I prefer them to amarays and like the artwork. I don't 'collect' them as such, but instead buy them because if I like the film, for a couple of extra quid the steelbook packaging can sometimes look quite nice.

Dogs is getting a release from Scorpion. A nice accompaniment to Day of the Animals and Grizzly.

Dogs Blu-ray

I was lucky, as when I pre-ordered the steel, Zavvi had the wrong specs listed meaning that I got the 2nd disc sent out to me for free from Studio Canal.
Zavvi did eventually start sending the second disc out their selves. (I'm guessing they were bombarded with complaints) Have they reverted back to selling the Final Cut dual format version?

Slated for an Autumn release - probably to coincide with Halloween.
So long as the option for 4:3 is included i'll be happy. If its widescreen only its not worth buying.

It's worth it for everyone else because it's a widescreen film.

Yes, they changed the item description not long after it's release to list the correct dual format specs. Everyone who had pre-ordered under the old specs (including myself) were more than a little pissed of when they didn't receive the 2nd disc as had been promised... thankfully they saw fit to rectify their mistake by sending the 2nd disc out to everyone who had pre-ordered the steelbook.

I think I'm going to hold out for the inevitable Grindhouse disc of this one.
