According to bluraydisc.de, the German remastered Robocop BD has a reversible cover, with the original artwork! I don't think the reverse is the final version. The front isn't, as a photo on another site has the info on the front saying it has a reversible cover with the original art on the reverse.

Grrr – why would it have to be released by Twilight Time? I really want it, but don't know if I'd be able to afford TT's prices.

Well there's always the European release out on Blu. But even at that expense you can just stick it online and sell it at a profit once the scalpers have got rid of all theirs!

Joking aside, unlike Fright night, Christine, ect which do not fit TT's business model this is actually more suited to them. Sadly unlike Wild Bunch, Alfredo Garcia is not as widely known and may not sell out as quickly...

My only worry is if this ends up as another FURY and we get a UK release with better picture quality and extras making the TT release both overpriced AND substandard.

That's something else I'd considered, so I'm really not sure whether to buy the European one (something I haven't yet done) or wait until the TT BD is available to pre-order. Decisions, decisions!

Nice, noticed There's a German blu of Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster (1964) but it seems to only have Japanese and German options.

Caps:

That makes 5 i'll have on pre-order now. Then my Godzilla vs. Biollante will be lonely no more!

Just leave 2 normal priced BD's and get this.

TT also issued a statement that the print being used (and the one on the Italian disc) is the only HD print out there, so the only way there will be a better one is if someone goes back to the negative and fully restores it.

tbh, I owned the TT disc of The Fury, and don't understand why people had a problem with it. Looked perfectly fine to me.
