On April 1st, Scorpion Releasing posted a photo of a blu-ray cover for the film The First Power, starring Lou Diamond Phillips. Walter's just said that Kino are actually releasing it. Cannot wait!

And as for The SF art, the original poster art is amazing. Your all utterly uncultured swine.

Do explain how we are "uncultured swine", seems like every time somebody disagrees with you about something, you feel the need to insult them

He actually just meant you, Rik! But seriously, the smiley at the end shows it's just a lighthearted comment.

This time yeah, but not when he said anyone who likes On the Buses has a mental illness, or when he insulted me regarding autism and the Big Bang Theory.

Anyway

I hope we get a BD of the First Power over here in the near future, not seen that film since the VHS days after reading about it in an issue of the Dark Side back in 1991ish!
I assume the Kino/Lorber BD will be locked

I'm an uncultured swine and proud of it!

The walls of late eighties/early nineties Italian schlock prove it! I'm probably the only person to enjoy sodomas ghost, demons 3 and all the Zombie flesh-eaters sequels!

As for the stagefright art. Hated it when BU used it on the DVD and still hate it now. Would have thought they would try something new. The owl headed killer smashing a fish tank full of heads looks very silly and has nothing at all to do with the film.

Snap! And it's got a nice slipcover to hide the art on the case.

The slipcover will look even better when it's signed by Ruggero Deodato and Francesca Ciardi! Now, if only there was another festival which Robert Kerman, Gabriel York, Perry Pirkanen and Luca Barbareschi were attending.

Eraserhead coming from Criterion in September:

Interesting supplements too, which includes: New high-definition restorations of six short films by Lynch: Six Figures Getting Sick (1966), The Alphabet (1968), The Grandmother (1970), The Amputee, Part 1 and Part 2 (1974), and Premonitions Following an Evil Deed (1996), all with video introductions by Lynch.
