It's a pity Stanley had such a short film career.

Great essay by him in this about the legendary Scala cinema.....

Many a year ago, I would chuck a sickie at work every now and again and spend the afternoon at a double or triple bill at the Scala.

German Angst is out in Germany. This is the much anticipated trilogy from directors Jörg Buttgereit, Michal Kosakowski and Andreas Marschall who show us 3 tales from Berlin of love, sex and death.

I heard about this, what now seems ages ago, but was disappointed when I found it on a well known mail-order site that stated it had no English options. However, a scalper on fleabay has it on sale - for double the price you can get it for now...- who states that along with an English language option, there are also English subs. IMDb also state there is an English option.

So I've bought one, not from the scalper and will let you know if anyone is interested. If you watch the trailer a 2nd trailer follows it. I prefer the 1st one!

I wasn't sure if he had a beard in the artwork.

Is the film any good?

It's one of his first and also more classy movies. Which means it is also one of the first Spanish horror movies ever made.
