Upcoming Non-UK Blu-ray Releases

Warner Archive are releasing the excellent Dolph Lundgren/Beandon Lee movie Showdown In Little Tokyo on blu-ray next month. While It's nice to see it being released, it saddens me because I won't buy it, even though I love the film. 99.9% chance it's the cut R-rated version, and I have the unrated version on dvd (they did the same with The Art Of War, starring Wesley Snipes). Another one that I have the unrated version of.

Independent U.S. distributors Severin Films have confirmed that they are planning to add three classic horror films to their Blu-ray catalog: Mario Caiano's Nightmare Castle (1965), Sergio Corbucci and Antonio Margheriti's Castle of Blood (1964), and Massimo Pupillo's Terror Creatures from the Grave (1965).

Please note that Castle of Blood and Terror Creatures from the Grave will be included as bonus features on the same upcoming Blu-ray release.

Nightmare Castle

Castle of Blood

Terror Creatures from the Grave

This tale of betrayal and gruesome vengeance is based on the writings of Edgar Allan Poe. An attorney arrives at a gothic castle to settle the estate of a dead man who could summon the souls of ancient plague victims. The widow and her terrified daughter inform him that the castle is haunted by the dead man's spirit. One by one the occupants of the castle -friends and family who betrayed him- die a festering, torturous and violent death, leaving only the daughter and her lover to escape their dreadful fate. Starring Barbara Steele, Walter Brandi, Mirella Maravidi, Alfredo Rizzo, Riccardo Garrone, and Luciano Pigozzi.

Have this on pre-order. I've been into Franco recently. Never seen this but heard it's one of his weirdest movies. And speaking of Franco, anyone ever tried to watch a Franco movie while high? Quite an experience I must say
