I really don't like it at all, I'm hovering over it on Diabolik, at $46.99 with the added postage its a dear do but the contents sound lovely. Trouble is I'd be buying it for a potentially slightly better transfer, the soundtrack and some extras....

Dammit, I'll end up buying it.

It's a bit out of my price range to say I don't need it, I've got the soundtrack CD already and the Arrow steelie is decent enough. I might get it when it drops in price though

Besides the one documentary which I'm guessing could end up on a UK release and the soundtrack which is already available in many legal ways, it's practically barebones.

Having the Arrow steelbook of the Wildside transfer, I can't see how extra clean up and work, even a lot, will make enough difference to justify a double dip, especially at the outrageous price post shipping from Diabolik because Synapse sells it exclusively from their site for an arm and leg already.

Plus, not a fan of the artwork at all, and the other exclusive extras, the export footage, isn't enough.

Phenomena also uses the Wildside transfer, but will supposedly have 3 cuts, and if it does, that will be enough for the price.

Just so you know thi sis limited to 3000 units and Synapse have stated they won't be releasing it under a 2nd edition like they did with Demons etc.


I've put my pre-order in; it's my fav Argento and I just can't resist.

It looks great – I've pre-ordered it along with the Grindhouse Releasing limited edition set of Pieces (Blu-ray/DVD/CD).

The Tenebrae set has Yellow Fever: The Rise and Fall of the Giallo documentary by High Rising Productions (the third of their 'Rise and Fall' documentaries, following 42nd Street and Eaten Alive).
