That cover is just awful. Also they do use different artwork for the sleeve. This is the fourth and worst.

I'd say that new cover is the best art it's had on home video. Even the original posters were pretty bland, with the exception of an Asian poster that markets the film as a sex comedy.

I'd say that third one you posted is worse, but I agree with you and Demoncrat about the quality of the new cover art. Dire indeed.

Would love to see this one as a reverse art or something:

Even I can admit that the original poster for American Werewolf isn't great, but i'd still like it used on the blu-ray. It's like The Blues Brothers, they seem to be incapable of using the poster for that one too.

I think that AWIL cover has something of a 40's Universal Monster vibe about it. I quite like it.
