Thankfully with the last lot of Arrow announcements there is another Bava, and one they seem to have beaten Kino to the punch with.

However, I do have concerns about Planet Of The Vampires. I seem to recall Columbia (a division of Sony) were behind the last UK release. So I'm curious to see if MGM have the rights here, or if it's with Sony, who as we know don't license out in the UK.
It may even be odeon releasing as with whip and the body.

In fairness to Rabid dogs, they have been re-building the original cut from scratch as the source materials look to have been binned by some f******. (I don't want to say alfredo leone without proof) Apparantly some half-wit thought kidnapped was a better print.

In that instance KINO beat Arrow to the punch but there disc is looking to be inferior. Equally Kino put out Bay of Blood quite a while after Kino but apparently that one looks better than Arrows.

Elio Petri's Todo Modo coming to Blu...

Quote:
I'm super excited to repeat the news that Elio Petri's unassailable, perversely political (not to mention fantastic and dark) TODO MODO has been announced for Blu-ray release by a company called Kinoglazorama. Screenings of the film (slated for a 4K restoration by Cineteca di Bologna) have begun, most recently it seems in Venice. The Blu-ray itself will be region-free, and making its appearance at some point in 2015. (More information and updates at Kinoglazorama's FB page linked above.)

Axe is coming from Severin in the US to BD. Always kinda liked it. One of the better Video Nasties, in my opinion. Looking forward to it. Never seen Kidnapped Coed. Both coming as a double feature, I believe. Apparently this has been known about for a while, but it's the first I've heard. Can't wait.

Yeah, I have a fondness for Axe too. Nice to see it getting the Blu treatment.
