Black Death - rewatch after seeing it at the cinema and the third film that I've ever seen on Blu. Looked OK I guess, but Akira is still the best looking film that I've seen on Blu yet. I liked the film; it has great atmosphere and even though Bean is channelling Boromir, he does a good job, as does Andy Nyman as the 'truth-getter'. The second half of the film is much more interesting as it gets into more ambiguous and fantastical territory. The only real let-down was the unnecessary coda at the end that seemed pointless and irrelevant. Anyway looking forward to what Smith has up his sleeve.
