Yeah, I liked this one too.

MALABIMBA - Bloody awful. SATAN'S BABY DOLL, which is a remake, is better.

I've only seen this once – and that was when it was at the cinema – and became a little bored as is a great idea which would have worked perfectly as an episode of The Twilight Zone but seemed to contain too much filler as a feature film.

Maybe another viewing is necessary.

Lake Mungo

I have a fundamental problem with the dramatic faux-documentary format. With actors playing talking heads, it creates a barrier that makes it hard to buy into the story. You're constantly aware of the artifice. That said, I did think the actors pulled off believable performances, and it turned out to be quite a well told ghost story. The films one scare factor, spotting ghostly images in camera footage and photos, remained creepy no matter how many times it was repeated (I lost count!). The twists in the plot were well paced, and helped keep things fresh for the full 83 minutes. Worth a watch.

Are you serious? Malabimba is good with a lot of ball smashing one-liners. How about those XXX scenes, were they filmed on location or just inserts?

Damn! that's what I get for using the "back" button. Ahem.

The Devil Inside. Sue me but I liked this. Yes, the glut of these things is beginning to grate but some of the set pieces were effective to my mind. Plus she pretty

And it ended when I wanted it to....unlike The Woods

watched the hills have eyes remake last night and i forgot how violent and gory it is. I also noticed in the end of movie credits that greg nicotero (special make up efx guy) played a character in the movie called 'cyst'. A nice remake and very tasty on bluray.

Strangely enough I was going to watch Malabimba yesterday PM, but got totally plastered instead. Now I'm hung over, I don't want to watch it.
