Few recent watches over the last couple of days:
Black Sheep-Thanks to Demdike for the excellent review and stills, you're right, I loved it!

Cherry Falls-Haven't seen this since the cinema back in 2000 or 2001, can't remember which. Just as good as I remembered, I wish they'd release an uncut version sometime

The Brides of Dracula-Not the best of the Hammer Dracula's, certainly not the worst, but still enjoyable with an excellent as always performance from Peter Cushing

The Evil of Frankenstein
-Crappy monster make up aside, another fine entry in the Hammer Frankenstein series and again, great performance from Peter Cushing

Machete-Brilliant grindhouse film from Robert Rodriguez, really looking forward to the sequel, due at some point this Autumn

Shaun of the Dead-I was thinking about watching this the other day, then watched something else instead, ended up watching it on ITV2 (minus the c-bomb) anyway followed by

Red Dragon-I know people don't like this film, but I happen to really enjoy all the Hannibal films, with the exception of Hannibal Rising, which is crap (as is the clearly rushed book)

Bram Stoker's Dracula-Forgetting about Keanu Reeves' God awful English accent (and acting, for that matter), this is one of my favourite takes on the oft told tale, and has been since I first saw it in the early 90's when it was first released on VHS

THE LADY - Michelle Yeoh gives a great performance as Aung San Suu Kyi, who became the leader for democracy in Burma against the oppresive, ruling Burmese military.

I have the Synapse release.
The transfer is okay, decent extras
The Bluray/Dvd combo is region free by the way.

Watched 'Night of the Living Dead', this afternoon. Have to admit, it was my first viewing
Even if you don't like it, you must admire it. Me, I loved it. Looking forward to receiving my Umbrella 'Dawn of the Dead' special edition tomorow, which I have seen before, but not for at least 10 years.

Last Ghost Standing (1999)

This is one weird/bizarre film!
I quote: "those who take drugs might be "spun out" with this movie!!"
Seems opinions are divided on this one with many people hating it but I like it personally.
It's basically a ghost film with some comedy, romance and a lot of weirdness thrown in.

Seems there still was some of that good old crazy HK energy around in 1999 and I truly wish more films would have followed this film's example in the new millennium...

So...highly recommended for lovers of the weird and bizarre.

PS The dvd is oop but if you're after one contact me and I'll point you in the right direction (new old stock).
