It was time to combine both What films have you purchased and What have you purchased recently? on Blu-ray? threads into one place, also encompassing VHS, Betamax, laserdisc and whatever format on which you may have recently bought a film.

Just as this thread has been slightly modified Nos.
I've changed the title of the thread here,so wherever and whatever format you've seen a film, you can discuss it here!

Thanks for listening.
Enjoy the film!

lesson over.

I like the CGI attack on Pearl Harbour its great eye candy, but the film overall isn't great, it was also clear that Affleck was no leading man.
And full of bull shite. The Japanese fighter NEVER opened fire on civiliens, indeed they where ordered not to. This was an attack on the US navy, all personel where to be killed but that was it. Way to go and depict the Japanese as monster, Bay, not like the US ever did anything awful during the second world w OH WAIT! Never mind! Sorry but I really hate it when directors shove there opinions into historical biopics, and create something thats just a massive ego stroke. Rant over.

I'm not sure you can really say this about Japan.

When they invaded China in 1937 they were terribly cruel to the population.

Anyway

Me

I watched Short Night of Glass Dolls last night. Really enjoyed it. Bonkers in a good way, and the Morricone score was pretty awesome. Seemed to take a while to find its ending, but in the end I found it satisfying. A fun Poe-esque final scene . . .
