Edward Scissorhands (1990) on Blu. Apparently its an extended edition however it isn't extended a lot just a couple of extra 'filler' scenes. Love Elfman's score though.

Not as bad as I was expecting. This was a car boot find and I wasn't holding out much hope at all. Its a fairly standard exorcism movie, manages to avoid the found footage pitfall and actually has one or two decent posession scenes. Its no classic, its fairly cheap'ncheerful at some times and some of the acting can leave a lot to be desired but if you see it cheap its worth a watch.

I watched the premier episode of Hannibal last night, pretty good start IMO, I'll look forward to seeing how the series turns out over the coming weeks.
Couldn't sleep after, so I watched The Collector. Loved it, but I did find it extremely hard to believe that one man could set up all those traps, by himself and in such a short period of time, only a minor niggle and not one that would stop me from wanting to watch The Collection

I seem to be the only one who didn't rate The Collector much at all.

You aren't. I didn't think it was great as, if I remember correctly from when I saw it in the cinema, I thought it was suitably bloody and nasty (perhaps one of the nastiest horror films I've ever seen) but the heavy metal soundtrack became really annoying.

Even so, I'm intrigued by The Collection.

I just found it very bland. It was almost as if the writers thought "Ah, this Saw phenomenon seems to be going over well with the cinema crowd, how about we do a similar thing but base it in a house..."

I think it was meant to be a Saw prequel at first but then it was changed. It was written by part of the Saw team too, which clearly shows.

Yeah, which re-inforces how utterly uncreative they are.

I really liked the first Saw film but got really bored of the sequels, which is normally why I didn't enjoy The Collector as much as some people did; probably the same who are big fans of the Saw franchise.
