Two directors I can't stand... Kubrick shot two or three great films, though (and no, Full Metal Jacket is not one of them!).

Now that's debatable again! For my own part, Scorsese hasn't shot a single film that I'd call "outstanding", whilst Argento has at least three flicks deserving this tag: The Bird With The Crystal Plumage, Deep Red, and - most of all - Inferno are brilliant.

Which of Kubrick's films is a dud? I've seen all of them except Fear and Desire, Paths of Glory, and Barry Lyndon, and I'd say all of the ones I've seen are at the very least great.

What do you think of Raging Bull, Taxi Driver, The King of Comedy, Goodfellas, Mean Streets, Casino or The Departed?

I haven't seen them all, but there's always one film that someone doesn't agree with of his, and well David Fincher did Alien 3

From what I've seen of Kubrick, his stuff is great.

I like the reduced palette used on this film. It adds greatly to the post apocalyptic feel of it and reminds me of all the happy hours playing Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas

I'm going to be honest, I watched Taxi Driver the other day for the first time, and it must have just gone over me. I found interesting at times, frustrating at others, but the ending was so good it nearly made me dramatically change my opinion on the whole movie!

I have Casino around, so I should watch that soon too.

Yeah, I'd agree about the movie actually seeming better because of the feel of Fallout 3. Which I guess speaks louder for the game than the movie, but damn it if that ain't a great game.
