I enjoyed The Witch Who Came From The Sea. For me it's one of the most professionally made and superbly acted of all the Video Nasties.

Mardi Gras Massacre is definitely the other end of the spectrum. Absolute drivel from beginning to end. Blood Feast was no masterpiece (an understatement) but it was a professional blockbuster compared to this.

"Straightheads" - quite a good modern rape/revenge british film - not as explicit as I had heard it was (the quotes on the covers saying it is 'pornographic' and 'more x-rated than the x-files' is a load of crap! LOL) 3/5

I think someone here said they had seen it too - I remember the comment about the gun and bum!

Too sluggishly paced to generate any real tension. Under produced as well.

There's very little violence in the film and whatever there is looks unconvincing.

The film appears to have just scraped through the BBFC uncut because the scenes between the father and daughter are very disturbing.

Mardi Gras Massacre

Dull, Dull, Dull. Also extremely amateurish.
The murder scenes are just plain ridiculous.
Mardi Gras-So dull Angel,I got rid of-was it a precert you watched?
The same murder/sacrafice ritual over and over and over......
Witch-tried to watch it a few times-just CAN'T get into it!

Glad you liked Solange reaper. It's one of my favourite Gialli, along with Daughters.

Rings Of Fear is available as part of one of those DVD Drive-In boxsets ( as Trauma ). It appears uncut, but is a horrible VHS pan and scan dupe. It's probabaly the least of the trilogy, but a pristine copy would make a very welcome addition to the Shameless catalogue .

Yes, Reaps.

Hard to believe it was ever a nasty considering how ridiculous it all was and the much stronger stuff that passed unnoticed at the time.
