Outpost 3: Operation Spetsnaz

The Outpost series has generally improved as the series has progresses. I quite enjoyed this one.

Ha I watched chernobyl diaries lasy year one night with my daughter while my partner was on an 8 to 8 nightshift so we were an hour into the film always watch horrors in the dark its was quite a tense scene about 1030 at night and the next thing my partner is banging at the door to say I shit myself would be an understatement as I wasn't expecting anyone but she had fallen ill and got a lift home without pre warning me

I'm a total Refn fanboy. Can't see anything beating Only God Forgives to my number 1 of the year. A proper sensory overload Love how he takes the Gosling macho bullshit, and totally emasculates him at every turn of the plot

Really hope his Maniac Cop project with Lustig goes ahead . . .

The Pusher Trilogy (everyone who's seen Mads Mikkelsen in Casino Royale should see the first two ) and Drive are his best to date imo. I still get a kick out of hearing Oh My Love by Katyna Ranieri in Drive - stroke of genius in itself.

My favourites are Valhalla Rising (more Mads) and Fear X (saw that at the cinema, which triggered my Refn fandom). But I think with a rewatch, Only God Forgives may become my new favourite . . .

I had not seen this one in ages, so it was great to watch it again. Some really good effects here for the time, of the severed hand playing the piano.
Good fun !

Hot Nights Of Linda (JP Johnson). The "proper" film this time. While not as out there as other films from this period of his oeuvre...it's still no Barefoot In The Park.

Tonight I show my mate Nightmare Concert !!! Finally!!!

Been a bit slack recently due to A Dance With Dragons taking up most of my free time, but will do my "moustache" film and a couple of others shortly cough.
