Yeah, Doug Jones, innit? Seemed a bit pointless to me, copying the set designs from the original. But then again, I liked the Psycho remake, so . . .

The office Christmas party was cancelled due to the storms currently blowing across northern Germany (and the east coast of England judging by Sky news) so I unexpectedly found myself at home this evening and put on my new blu-ray of Violet and Daisy.

Violet and Daisy are two young assassins who set off to kill a man who has ripped off their boss in order to earn enough money to buy a designer dress.

This is a slightly oddball entry which tries, perhaps a little too hard, to be quirky but nevertheless I really enjoyed it.

Well watching beyond the darkness and it appears it's going to be one of the sickest, unsettling and most disturbing films i have ever seen.

Accept no substitutes. Dirty Joe's finest hour with a great Goblin score. One of my favourite exploitation movies. Enjoy the rest.....and then wash repeatedly.

I used to have a vhs copy of Dr Caligari, but alas no more. Cant seem to find a dvd anywhere, it's totally bonkers but has a few scenes that make it worth the while.

Batman Returns (1992).

One of my Christmas films.

A brilliant, gothic, action packed, thrill ride, featuring a fantastically moody Michael Keaton, a stunningly sexy Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman, Danny Devito in one of his career best performances as the slimy Penguin, Christopher Walken, Christopher Walken in a bird cage, the best Batmobile ever, monkeys, bats, cats, penguins, graveyards, Siouxsie and the Banshees, snow, pvc, whips, sewers, explosions, Christmas trees, violence, fetish, scares, oh, and no Mr Freeze.

In short the best Batman film ever.

Beyond the darkness

My Intial views where on the money. Totally sick and depraved but like a car accident you can't help but watch. For me the sickest scene was the women eating after the girls body had been disposed of by acid in the bath. I physical felt sick watching her eat. But unlike cannibal holocaust another sick and disturbing film I will be going back to watch this from time to time. 9/10

Christmas vacation
Could not find a more opposite film to beyond the darkness if I tried. A film I never get bored of and always brings a smile to my face. amongst many highlights are

It's nippley out
Danny ****ing Kaye speech
Cousin Eddie
Family Christmas tree
Shitters full
9/10
