After watching galaxy of terror thought i would watch another corman sci fi movie, this time something very different battle beyond the stars a film I loved as a child, so much so my VHS copy wore out, let's see if it's still as much fun, from the small amount I've watched up to now I can say it is.

'The Bird With the Crystal Plumage', VCI bluray. Haven't been the biggest Argento fan in the past, but he's growing on me, and I really enjoyed this. Some nice touches of humour too.
I might grab the new 'Tenebrae' and that will be my next Argento - good choice?

Tenebrae is my favourite Argento film, although it's all subjective!

Todays films were Rewind This! which imported on DVD (and VHS) from the U.S. I saw it in Montreal last year and it played Fright Fest in August. For those of you who didn't see it, the film is a documentary that explores the history of the humble VHS tape and those who grew up in the late 70's and early eighties will almost certainly find a nostalgic connection.

Arrow fest continued with a first look at the blu-rays of Blow Out and Lifeforce. I enjoyed both and for my money Arrow has done a fine job with both packages.

It sure is all subjective. I can't see what all the fuss is about with "Tenebrae", other than the excellent technical abilities on display, I just don't understand all the praise it gets.

Probably why I'm perfectly happy with Arrows original blu-ray.
It's an ok transfer of an ok film.

Big Bad Wolves (2013) - A great flick from Israel! A dark comedy thriller thats funny and engrossing! Good direction and acting with good story! Go check it out! Cleverly written, it had me right till the end! For those PC people out there, you may not find it funny because of the story subject matter.

8/10
