And Soon the Darkness

Excellent Brit horror from the early 70's. The film has a very menacing atmosphere. It's also about guessing who the killer is.

Used to turn up on TV years ago but they don't show it anymore.

Just a shame the UK DVD has no extras.

That's right.

I just checked the IMDB and the inevitable remake is due next year but unlike the original which was a British film set in France this will be an American film set in Argentina.

Yep it is indeed Michele Dotrice in And Soon The Darkness, together with Pamela Franklin (from The Innocents, The Nanny and the excellent Legend Of Hell House).

Dotrice also appeared in the equally enjoyable Blood On Satan's Claw and is now sadly the widow of the much-missed Edward Woodward.

I loved Timecrimes. It was really refreshing to see something a bit new in the often neglected sub-genre that is time travel movies. I reviewed it not long after release in my reviews thread, but that seems so long ago now! I might give it another watch soon as I really enjoyed it.

I didn't know they were remaking And Soon the Darkness Angel...

I love the original; Robert Fuest is a directorial genius.

The last film I saw at the Cinema was Gilliam's The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. That was about a month ago, and I still can't decide whether I like it or not...

2012, brought the kids to see it, was either that or New Moon and some of them hadn't seen Twilight.

Some of the FX were great but I hate movies that are just so predictable. The only thing that surprised me is that President Danny Glover didn't arrive on a surf board at the end.
Don't think I've groaned as much at a movie since Terminator Salvation.

Also I had to go for 3 pisses, now maybe it's old age and time for a comode(never had to spell this before!) but it's a long movie

I watched The Dark Knight and The Shawshank Redemption yesterday.

I've also been working my through the 1st season of The Hunger again, this past week or so. Now it's time to make a start on Season 2 tonight!
